A notary cannot choose the notarial act or certificate for you. The signer, document recipient, issuing agency, lender, title company, or an attorney must identify the required notarial act. If the document does not contain appropriate notarial wording, the signer must select the certificate without direction from the notary.

Each signer is responsible for reviewing the document, understanding the transaction, providing accurate information, appearing personally before the notary, and signing willingly. The notary may ask questions needed to determine identity, awareness, and willingness but cannot evaluate whether a transaction is beneficial or legally appropriate.

Each signer must present identification that satisfies applicable Texas requirements. The person requesting service is responsible for confirming and arranging any witnesses required by the document or receiving party. Solace Notary does not guarantee that a particular form of identification or witness arrangement will be accepted until the appointment details are reviewed.

Documents should be complete and free of blank spaces that could later be filled in, except where completion in the notary's presence is required. Do not sign in advance when the requested notarial act requires the signature to occur before the notary. Solace Notary does not draft, revise, correct, or supply the substantive contents of a document.

A notarization may be refused or stopped when identity cannot be established, a signer appears unwilling or unaware, fraud or coercion is suspected, the document is incomplete, required witnesses are absent, communication is insufficient, or applicable legal, procedural, technology, or platform requirements are not met.

Remote Online Notarization depends on document eligibility, signer location and identity verification, compatible technology, and successful completion of the approved platform's security requirements. Some recipients or document types may require an in-person notarization. Confirm acceptance with the receiving party before booking.

Submitting a request does not confirm an appointment. Availability, service eligibility, location, travel, timing, and applicable fees must be reviewed and expressly confirmed by Solace Notary. Cancellations, deposits, travel charges, and refunds are governed by the Fee, Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Notarization verifies specific facts required for the notarial act; it does not prove that a document's contents are true, legal, valid, or enforceable. It also does not guarantee acceptance by a court, government agency, lender, title company, foreign authority, or any other receiving party.
